King & Heath First National Commercial have been extremely busy with sales and leasing this past year.
Whilst we constantly hear about the number of vacancies in Bairnsdale and surrounding areas, many are surprised if not shocked at what has been leased and sold.
Since February this year King & Heath First National Commercial have leased in excess of 30 properties throughout the region. Some of these have been to ASX listed Companies, Government bodies, major local and National Companies and private individuals.
Managing Director of King & Heath, Chris Martin, said “These sorts of numbers show a real confidence in our area from local and national operators. Many companies are also looking at the advantages for their staff living in an area such as ours. These extend to the cost of living, housing and the natural attributes our region offers.”
Commercial and Investment sales have also been very strong over the past number of months with many local, metro and interstate investors taking advantage of excellent yields they can receive from investments compared to other forms of investment in other areas.
As well as retail, office and warehouse sales, vacant industrial land has performed very well this year and after a period of oversupply there is now a shortage of well-located land.
As we approach the release of the next industrial subdivision, we see strong demand continuing, fueled by both investors and owner-occupiers looking to build their own premises, Chris said.
Whilst many regions are struggling, the future looks good for East Gippsland from a Commercial prospective, as well as residential.
